A Trip To India & Saving The World | The Gerry Martin Project

Wednesday, 25 March 2015

So, because I am a crazy nutcase, I have decided to GO TO INDIA! But this isn't a usual holiday, in fact this isn't even a holiday at all! I have decided to go to India as part of my school's India Program in partnership with the Gerry Martin Project, which deals with wildlife, conservation and education. This is a volunteer program and a great experience and one that many of my friends have done and that I have always wanted to do.

I have always wanted to go, but my family never thought that I would ever fundraise all of the money in time, well now is the time to prove them wrong!

I am so excited for this amazing experience! The trip will last for two weeks starting mid October 2015 (only a day after my 19th birthday!). We will be helping the local community, but will not be sure as to what we are doing until nearer the time. The last years October group (the group that most of my friends went on) built a research outpost for scientists and universities to use as a base.
The picture above was taken in Dodamarg, India, the place where we will be staying for two weeks!

I have also been offered to film a promotional video for the organisation! WHICH IS SUPER EXCITING! I will also try and vlog a little bit of each day when I am out there and will upload a video each day for two weeks after I am back from the trip. I hopefully will be able to bring along with me a GoPro and a Nikon D800 to film the two week adventure! But if not then I will be bringing my usual Samsung camera that I do all of my regular video's on :)

If you want to know more about the organisation, the link is here :)

I will also be posting updates as to how my fundraising is going and the events that the group and myself will be hosting to raise the funds. I will also be doing another crazy thing; DONG A 92 MILE WALK TO THE INDIAN EMBASSY IN LONDON TO RAISE THE MOOLA (£)! That will be taking place in around May and will be spread over 4 days! I CANT WAIT! I can't wait to share my little adventure with you all!

A Day In London | Miss Saigon, Ripley's 'Believe It Or Not' & More! - With Hannah - Pictures

Sunday, 22 March 2015

So, it was my best friend, Hannah's, birthday a few days ago and one of her birthday presents was to go and see Miss Saigon at the West-end! Both Hannah and I was in a production of Miss Saigon that premiered at the Gulbenkian Theater in Canterbury so we both really love the show and hold it close to our hearts (and know all of the songs plus dance moves). It was super cool to be able to watch it being performed as having only performed it on stage and have never seen it. Another part of Hannah's birthday present was to go to Ripley's Believe It Or Not. I have never been there, but it was really interesting! There are lots of ancient and weird artifacts inside, and some that made me feel a wee bit sick (including 3 shrunken heads!). The day was super fun and I am so fortunate and lucky to have been asked to come along for the day!

I hope you guys enjoy the pictures! A Vlog will soon follow :)

The premiere for Cinderella happened only a few days before we arrived! The Cinderella Exhibition was still up, but we didn't go inside :(

Posters For A-Level Film! | Main Poster & Teaser Poster

Tuesday, 17 March 2015

Hi guys! So, I don't know if any of you will remember, but a while ago I posted a video called Great Readers Make Great Leaders | Inspiring Children To Read - Film Project and promised that I would share with you any updates such as posters, SO HERE THEY ARE!

I'm super proud of these posters that I have made and I hope you guys enjoy them too! The first poster is the teaser poster that I made. This was inspired by a promotional picture for Divergent that I saw. As the film is about children's imagination and who books encourage this, I thought that the little tag-line would be perfect for this poster.

The seconds poster is the main poster and is the one that I will be using for my A2 Media Coursework. I really liked the idea of the book coming alive in this poster and experimented with many different things coming out of the book, but this was the only version that I thought worked.

I only have a little bit of the film left to film, so hopefully it all should be done soon (the special effects are taking ages!). Hopefully it should be only 2 more weeks, then it should all be finished, and I shall upload it all for you guys! I'm really excited to share this project with you guys as it is something personal to me and something that I know  have put all of my effort and soul into with what I have.

Blogilates | 30 Day Thigh Slimming Challenge

Monday, 9 March 2015

I have no idea why I have only just found this awesome and amazing Youtube and Blog! WHY DIDN'T SOMEONE TELL ME ABOUT IT BEFORE?! Blogilates is an amazing community of fitness and health, and as I have only recently discovered it, I have decided to do the 30 Day high Slimming Challenge!

Now, my thighs are pretty large but I like them, so this challenge is purely to help me build strength and muscle! I have already done this video once, and plan on doing it all through the month, and hopefully by the end of the month I will have lovely strong legs!

I really do recommend this channel to everyone as it is absolutely fantastic and has exercises for beginners through to experts, so there is something for everyone!

Love, K :)
