Be Brave/Become Braver

Monday, 29 February 2016

I have always said to myself that I need to be more brave. Bravery is something I admire, but it's a trait that I believe to be lacking in. I know so many brave people who have done many brave things, but I still feel as if I need to become braver.

Throughout my life, I have always said the phrase 'be brave' or 'become braver' to myself, so the phrase means quite a lot to me, so much so that if someone says it to me I get that pang in the stomach and can feel tears start to brew in my eyes! It's a personal phrase and something that has been with me for quite a long time.

I have a Tumblr blog called becomebraver (which is my main Tumblr and there is a link to it in the top right hand corner of the page if you want to check it out!) and I started to think about my identity online and who I wanted to be. I have thought about changing this blog to becomebraver rather than thekayleighcooper and the same goes with my Youtube channel. but I don't know if I should?

As stated before, the phrase is very meaningful to me and I want it to be a message of support and I want to do things with that phrase; like start campaigning for young voices to be heard and to support people who aren't brave and help them speak up about things that matter!

I want 'be brave/become braver' to mean something to people like it does to me.

I want to help people with this phrase, I want to give them hope and I want to give them a voice. I just don't know how to start... but I will.

Stay brave,

Love, K :)
