Lush Bath Bomb | Twilight | Beauty Review

Wednesday, 23 March 2016

As some of you guys have previously seen, I am a bit in love with Lush products at the moment! I went on a Lush spree a while ago (you can watch the video on my Youtube here) and have only just started to use the products and am loving writing reviews about them! This bath bomb is called 'Twilight' and is part of Lush's main range, which means you can buy it all year round!

What first instantly attracted me to this bath bomb was the scent! I picked it up and as soon as I did I fell in love! It was so calming and warm! The bath bomb includes Lavender Oil, Tonka Absolute, Benzoin Resinoid and Ylang Ylang Oil, so you can imagine on just how good this thing smells! The Lavender Oil is balancing and calming, so this bath bomb is great if you have trouble sleeping as Lavender is often used to help people feel calm and helps send people off to sleep. And it also smells AMAZING! The Tonka Absolute is actually a bean and is known to treat anti-inflammatory. It is also thought to treat joint problems. Benzoin Resinoid comes from Evergreen tress and is actually a sap that is then turned into a gum! This natural preservative and antiseptic is used for its warming qualities, believed to stimulate blood flow and ease aching muscles, and it contains coniferyl cinnamate, an ester, which is said to have powerful relaxing properties. It also contains sumaresinolic acid, which helps to reduce swelling. Lastly, Ylang Ylang Oil has a heady, sweet and floral aroma and is often used in aromatherapy for its uplifting properties and for combating stress and depression.

This bath bomb has so many amazing ingredients and properties, I just HAD to buy it! As I placed it into my bath-tub the colours instantly began to melt into the bath water. Streams of pink and blue whirled around the bath and the bomb happily fizzed away with the scent of all of the ingredients filling my bathroom!

One of the things I love most about the Lush bath bombs is that they are so enjoyable to watch! As this one fizzed around my bath, I was mesmerized by the colours it was creating. It really is a lovely and calming thing to watch! The bath bomb took about 5-10 minutes to fully fizz-up, which left me enough time to apply a Lush Face mask! I used the 'Don't Look At Me' face mask (you can read the review here) but I only had enough left for that one time! I think I might just have to buy some more!

After the bomb had done it's business, my bath was left a beautiful purple, which was very calming indeed! I hadn't noticed on the bath bomb itself, but I noticed my bath was glimmering slightly, and it was only then that I realized that the bath bomb had shimmery glitter in it! I don't normally like products with glitter in it because I don't want to look like a Vampire after I've had a shower (and plus, glitter always gets in places you never want it to go, and is a right pain to wash off sometimes!), but I was happily surprised to find out that the glitter didn't really stick to me as much as I thought it would!

It did make the bath tub look like the sky just before it's getting dark; when the stars are out but there is still light in the sky, hence why the bath bomb is called Twilight!

It's also nice to know that this product is suitable for vegans and Lush are against testing on animals, so you always know that when you buy a product from Lush, you are buying a sustainable and 'do-good' product, which makes the experience all the more special!

If you have used the 'Twilight' bath bomb, let me know what you think in the comments below!

Love, K :)
